Past few days the Indian cinema is only speaking about one name and one movie that is Rajamouli and RRR.
Why so much hype or so much discussion for a movie. Is it made with some super powers or is it something never happened in history of human race. A man had vision of making himself big and making his makings big that's when he identified the need for promoting himself and the need to promote his makings. He started creating stories and making them in grand scale. When you spend that much on making and if you are not able to promote you will end up in mess. So he started telling story to the people which is false. There is a saying in Telugu Chandamama Raave , Jabilli Raave, which is told to kids to make them stop from crying. This story is told in such a way that the child believes that chandamama( moon) is going to come and he can play with that. So why is this relavant with this discussion , i will tell you.
In same way Rajamouli started creating dreams to people saying that his movies are big by continuously making them to listen to only his promotion and chant only names of his cinema. It's purely promotion .one good thing happened was the way south indian cinema got recognition is high. But what bad happened. All the movie rates increased, it became overhead for common man, the pressure for movie makers for big stars increased, no story based movies are coming, big actors are being targeted for not producing big scale movies, small movies are not getting required attention. So one man and his dream of making cinema big by huge budget and huge promotions is effecting entire movies of South Indian cinema. Development and expansion is good, but it should be with content not with huge promotions for even a normal story. Might be bahubali is good but it is not a new theme , there were greater movies than bahubali but why only this became big because of big promotions.
I hope after RRR cinema biggies will help small movies as well and hope that too with big stars whose TRP is common man and if they increase such high prices for tickets and bribe them it will end cinema lovers interest in watching on big screen.
A common man with love towards south indian movies.
